STRIKING OUT.

I'm actually starting to freak out because I feel that no matter how hard I study or how many hours I invest into studying, none of the material revised is retained. With the mounds of assessments I have yet to sit and endure, it just feels as though the hours just aren't paying off. I guess what they say about missing high school is true after you've graduated. University life just isn't the same.

Now what?

One can't help but wonder, because that's what the mind likes to do. It takes us on adventures; ones we would love to have and even ones we would have never even dreamed of (the tormented ones our minds construct for itself). I wonder, I think and I contemplate, how it is and what we did over these many years to make it work. And we did - we made it work. But now that I'm here, what I thought was going to be the unity of everything we have ever dreamed of, reality begs to differ. I'm being engulfed by all these dreams I have at night and I'm drowning in my own fears. "No matter what, we'll make it work." Our entire lives (together) has been based on that one single concept. It let us thrive in times when things felt as though they were crumbling and it enabled us chase after our goal. And with that, we've tackled down and obliterated all barriers that stood in our way. But here we are today, living two separate worlds, two distinct entities. I'm here and you're there and now I'm wondering, "How will we make it work?"

WHY I'M NOT WHERE YOU ARE.

The end of suffering does not justify the suffering, and so there is no end to suffering, what a mess I am, I thought, what a fool, how foolish and narrow, how worthless, how pinched and pathetic, how helpless.

Pamper me up because it's expected!

I want flowers, overpriced chocolates, expensive gifts and you have to be a total prince charming to me today. It's valentines day and it just goes against the norm if you aren't and don't do so.

Okay, so is this what society has reduced us to? Valentines day is a day where you are expected to show your love and appreciation for your significant other via materials through the use of some big bucks? In all honesty, you're probably better off showing someone you care everyday and surprise them with little gifts every once in a while. Personally thinking, that's just a whole lot better than the one day where the market increases its prices ten fold and you are inevitably ripped off and "expected" to spoil and shower your loved one (or whatever they are to you, your "valentine") on this particular day. This whole concept of valentines just isn't for me. I think I'd rather spend my day in bed with a book rather than being spoilt bits. (Albeit, I'll probably be devoting my time to unpacking.)

FRIDAY NIGHT.

Grand opening for Maze by Puzzle events at The Motel in South Melbourne. Drinks, friends, loud music, DJ Ming and DJ Sensation. Key to a good night I must say! To sum up, driving to the bumfuck of nowhere, 2 hour line ups, 5 hours of dancing and a night rider with eclectic social groups.

This is what you call indie.
ABC shots to relieve the two hour wait

The aftermath. I think I can still taste alcohol in my mouth.

 Post clubbing luvos. Classy.
Topping the night off with greasy chicken. Yum.

Someone clearly had a good night. Concoction of fried rice and alcohol. Chundered hard.
7am, Good night.
